According to the County of Santa Clara, there are an estimated 140,000 uninsured men women and children in Santa Clara County alone. Due to the current economic crisis, these numbers are growing daily, with no relief in sight.
In most cases, Peninsula Healthcare Connection is the only available means for these often overlooked members of our community to receive high quality medical and psychiatric care as well as intensive case management, which includes but is not limited to assistance with accessing disability benefit programs (SSI and SSDI) and Medi-Cal. Access to low cost or free prescriptions is also part of our mission. In the past year alone we have served 3100 individuals. Our goal this year is to provide services to every individual in need.
Every donor, if requested, will receive a quarterly newsletter highlighting how their donation is being used to mark our progress in achieving our goals, as well as current and upcoming events.
